This 9-hole golf course is located near Mojácar.
It was designed in 1976 by Paul J. Polansky.
On the course there are many almond, olive, lemon and orange trees.
The course is located in a valley at the foot of Sierra Cabrera at an altitude of 1,000 meters.

It has most of the facilities that other golf courses also have, bar, restaurant, pro shop, putting green and easy navigation around the course.

Mini-Hollywood in Tabernas The province is famous as the location for the shooting of many of the Spaghetti Western films.
The dry and arid landscapes of the Taberna Desert – Europe’s only desert, part of the Sierra Nevada National Park – were perfect set locations for Sergio Leone’s films.
David Lean also filmed some scenes there including the Oscar winning film Lawrence of Arabia.
In the village of Tabernas, you can visit the movie set locations.
A fun day out is the Mini-Hollywood theme park Oasys Parque where many of the old “spaghetti westerns” were filmed.
There are daily shows.

Cabo de Gata – Nijar East of the city of Almería we find the natural and protected marine park, Cabo de Gata – Nijar with its beautiful and rugged coastline.
Much of this coast has limited access by car, so to get there it is mostly on foot, but it is well worth the experience, because once there, you can enjoy the crystal clear waters and ideally secluded coves, ideal for swimming and diving.
Cabo de Gata is an area of volcanic origin.
It is also a protected National Park and the largest protected coastal area in Andalusia.

The Sierra de Gata mountain range is Spain’s largest volcanic rock formation, with sharp peaks and ochre-colored crags (shell sand formations).
On the coast, the rocks rise steeply from the sea.
They create sometimes up to 100 m high, angular and jagged cliffs, which are split by ravines and gullies that lead to secluded coves with white sand beaches.

A landscape full of white villages, protected and untouched forests, valleys and snow-capped mountain peaks.
This is a land to which the Arabs, during their leadership, were greatly attached; and this is understandable, because the Almerian Alpujarras is a beautiful and compelling part of southern Spain, not to be compared with the hustle and bustle of the coastal regions – although it is still only a few hours’ drive away from them.
The area is also an excellent setting for outdoor activities: skiing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and much more.
Granada with its Sierra Nevada mountains is about 2 hours away and offers excellent skiing from December through April.
