What data do we process?

When you make a booking enquiry or contact us, we process the data you provide to us:

• First name and surname
• Email address and telephone number
• Details of your travelling party (names and ages of fellow travellers)
• The chosen apartment, your arrival and departure dates, and any extras
• Any comments you add yourself

In addition, we collect anonymised usage statistics via Google Analytics, but only with your consent.

What do we use your data for?

• To process and respond to your booking enquiry or question
• To create and confirm a booking
• To contact you regarding your stay
• To improve our website, with your consent, using statistics

On what legal basis?

We process your data on two legal bases. Firstly, for the performance of a contract (or steps leading up to it), to process your enquiry and booking. Secondly, based on your consent, for the placement of analytical and marketing cookies; you can withdraw this consent at any time.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics 4 in combination with Google Consent Mode v2. This means that no tracking or marketing cookies are set until you give your consent via the cookie banner. We always set functional cookies that are necessary for the website to work.

You can change your preferences at any time via the ‘Cookie preferences’ link at the bottom of every page.

Who do we share data with?

We never sell your data. However, we do engage carefully selected data processors who help us deliver the website and our services:

• Vercel and Cloudflare, for hosting and delivering the website
• Mailjet, for sending booking enquiries by email
• Google, for website analytics (Google Analytics), exclusively with your consent

Some of these parties may process data outside the European Economic Area. This is done with appropriate safeguards in accordance with the GDPR.

How long do we retain your data?

We do not retain your data for longer than is necessary for the purposes set out above, or for as long as we are legally obliged to do so.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or have your personal data deleted. You may also object to the processing of your data and withdraw your consent. To do so, please send an email to villadamara@gmail.com. If you do not agree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority.
