Our villa is half an hour’s drive from the beaches of Vera and Garrucha. The well-known seaside resort of Mojácar is a 45-minute drive away.
The historic town of Vera and its seaside resort, Vera-Playa, offer a blend of culture and beach fun. Vera-Playa is a popular spot for nudists (with a 1.5-kilometre naturist beach). It also offers excellent activities such as water sports and golf. In Vera, you’ll find several buildings that bear witness to its Roman and Arab past: the Church of the Nativity, St Augustine’s Church and an interesting archaeological museum. The Saturday market is also well worth a visit.
Garrucha is a beautiful sailing and fishing village, where you can enjoy excellent beaches and delicious seafood restaurants. A stroll along the long and lively promenade is a pleasant way to spend your time.
The popular town of Mojácar is divided into two parts. The village of Mojácar itself is situated on a hill and retains its traditional Spanish character with narrow, steep streets. It has a few cosy tavernas, small squares and restaurants. The more touristy Mojácar is situated by the sea and has a seafront promenade lined mainly with restaurants, tavernas and pubs.
